U.S.S CONCORDIA
NCC - 1865
About the ship
The U.S.S. Concordia, bearing the registry number NCC-1865, stands as one of Starfleet's most venerable vessels, having first been commissioned in the year 2264. This Miranda-class starship has undergone three major refits throughout its extensive service, with the most recent refurbishment taking place in 2364 to commemorate its centennial anniversary.
The Concordia is renowned for its remarkable diversity, a core principle embodied by its crew since its maiden voyage over a hundred years ago. The ship's first command team was notably led by a Tellarite captain and an Andorian first officer, a pairing that underscored the Federation's ideals of unity and cooperation among diverse species. In the present day, Captain Raha helms the Concordia, and continues this venerable tradition as the only Romulan of this rank within the Federation.
Another hallmark of the Concordia is its celebrated rec room known as the "Sublight," a unique space situated within the saucer section's original impulse engineering room. This area, distinguished by its original furniture from the ship's early years, is adorned with photographs and memorabilia chronicling over a century of service, creating an atmosphere more akin to a bar than the cafeteria-style interiors found in newer starships.
